Classics in Callan Park - helping to light up the Hebron Hills

Inner West Chavurah volunteers
Leichhardt-based Jewish community group, the Inner West Chavurah, together with the Friends of Hebron, raised awareness and funds at Leichhardt Council's Classics at Callan Park on Sunday 21st April. We raised $700  to support a renewable energy initiative by an Israeli-Palestinian NGO, COMET - ME which installs solar powered systems in the Hebron Hills.

Fundraising for COMET ME was authorised by Leichhardt Council's Community to Community committee which is advised by 1 representative each of the Inner West Chavurah, the Leichhardt Friends of Hebron, the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and the Head of the General Delegation of Palestine to Australia.

The money will help to train local people in Hebron to install and maintain renewable energy systems.

Taking the bucket around the audience
Thank you to all of our wonderful community who came along to help, donate generously and enjoy a lovely evening of music in a beautiful setting.
